AT&T said it will be business as usual until its proposed acquisition of T-Mobile USA is approved and it's keeping that promise, releasing a pair of intriguing new smartphones yesterday.
The carrier took the wraps of the LG Thrill, a glasses-free 4.30-inch smartphone and the HTC HD7S, a 4.3-inch Windows Phone 7 smartphone.
The LG Thrill 4G runs Android 2.2 (Froyo), is HSPA+ compatible and features a "glasses-free" 4.3-inch stereoscopic 3D display. Beyond its 3D screen, the Thrill boasts a dual-core, 1 GHz processor, 5-megapixel dual-camera that allows users to shoot and share high definition videos and images in 3D.
In addition to apps and games from Android Market, LG Thrill 4G will offer 3D content via the "LG 3D Space," which houses 3D games, video clips and images for download.
The LG Thrill 4G, which is one of more than 20 HSPA+ devices AT&T plans to deliver in 2011, will be exclusive to AT&T.
The HTC HD7S, a Windows Phone 7 smartphone, features a 1 GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. Additionally, the HDS7 comes packing 576MB RAM, 16GB internal storage and Wi-Fi.
The HD7S will not be HSPA+ capable.
