Samsung and AT&T today announced a Nov. 8 launch of the Samsung Focus, a Windows Phone 7 smartphone. According to a press release, the Focus will cost $199.99 with a two-year contract.

The Focus features a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera, pinch-to-zoom, 720p video record and playback, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and up to 32GB of expandable memory.

The new Windows Phone 7 tile-based layout allows users to customize the start screen and appoint frequently used applications for one-touch access. Users can have up to 256 live tiles on the start screen.

The Focus is AT&T's first smartphone to come running Microsoft's revamped mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7, with more to be introduced over the next few weeks.
