Boost Mobile has upped the ante on its $50 all-you-can eat plan with the addition of e-mail, instant messaging and unlimited calls to 411.

Customers on Boost's $60 BlackBerry plan will have unlimited 411 calls added to their service, which already includes both unlimited e-mail and instant messaging.

Boost also added its first device with a slide-out qwerty keyboard to its handset lineup. The Samsung Rant will be available beginning May 19 for $149.99.

The change to Boost's plans and the addition of the Samsung Rant comes days after reports surfaced that Leap Wireless International, the parent company of prepaid provider Cricket, was conducting trials for three new unlimited prepaid mobile broadband plans.

According to Current Analysis researcher Deepa Karthikeyan, Leap is testing out a $40 "Basic" plan offering 2.5GB at a download speed of up to 600 Kbps, a $50 "More" plan offering 5GB at a download speed of up to 1.4 Mbps and a $60 "Premium plan" offering 10 GB at a download speed of up to 1.4 Mbps.

Leap Wireless will report its first-quarter results after market close on Thursday. Analysts polled by Yahoo! Finance expect Leap to lose $0.66 per share on sales of $655.09 million.
