So, what does CTIA think of President Barack Obama's fiscal year 2011 budget?

The association was still reviewing the President's proposed budget yesterday, but did release a statement saying a few industry-related items are worth highlighting.

"Specifically, we appreciate the President's focus on removing cell phones from the IRS listed property rule and the clear commitment to making additional spectrum available for wireless broadband services," said CTIA President and CEO Steve Largent in a statement.

"These matters have strong bi-partisan support and the inclusion of these provisions in the 2011 budget sends another strong signal to policymakers that the time has come to move on these issues," he added.

Meanwhile, CTIA will be working with the administration and Congress to ensure the wireless industry remains "the most efficient, competitive and innovative in the world."
