It sounds an awful lot like attendees at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which kicks off Feb. 15, will get a good look at Samsung's new bada operating system. In a post on the company's bada blog, the Korean OEM all but confirmed the unveiling of a bada handset at MWC.

"The distinctive UX features of bada let the developers to deliver the user convenience which could be experienced in applications showcased with the new bada smartphone at MWC this month," the blog reads.

Samsung also notes in the post that bada will come equipped with Flash control, so that developers can implement Flash-based UI and can use abundant existing Flash-based content in their applications.

The unveiling of a bada handset would mark the first device to run on Samsung's homebrewed smartphone platform.

Samsung unveiled the software developers kit (SDK) for bada back in December. Concurrent with the launch of the SDK, Samsung also launched the bada Developer Challenge, which provides developers a chance to win a share of a $2.7 million prize fund.
