Ex-Vodafone CEO Takes Chair at Aricent

Communications technology company Aricent announced that Arun Sarin will take a seat on its board. Sarin is currently a senior advisor at KKR and prior to that served as CEO of Vodafone Group.

The news comes as Aricent recently announced a new end-to-end R&D solution. Aricent yesterday introduced what it's calling "Experience Engineering," an integrated strategy, innovation, product development and systems integration engagement model.  The project allows for both fixed and mobile network operators to conceptualize, productize and commercialize differentiated subscriber experiences through the development of new products.

Keith Higgins, vice president of marketing for Aricent, says that Experience Engineering guides clients through a four-part process: Discover, Design, Develop, Deliver – that brings together the client's project from vision to market.

Higgins says Sarin's insight into carrier operations was a natural fit as Aricent tackles a new project that relies heavily on strong relationships with operators.
