T-Mobile USA says the BlackBerry Bold 9700 with Wi-Fi calling is now available. The offering represents the first 3G-powered BlackBerry smartphone available through T-Mobile USA, and also the first smartphone from Research In Motion (RIM) that includes built-in support for both 3G connectivity and voice calls over Wi-Fi.

T-Mobile announced the BlackBerry 9700 back in October, saying it would be available in time for the holidays.

According to a T-Mobile spokeswoman, the new phone is available for $199.99 with a two-year contract at T-Mobile retail stores, select authorized dealers and online.

The 9700 features a full qwerty keyboard, an optical trackpad, a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and video recording. It also includes support for 3G HSDPA networks globally, a 624 MHz processor, 256MB Flash memory expandable up to 32GB, as well as built-in GPS and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g).
