• Paragon Software Group and Samsung Electronics signed a partnership agreement to offer Paragon's mobile applications through Samsung's on-device Application Store. Samsung mobile customers will be able to access the Application Store directly on their smartphones by selecting the Application Store icon.
• Digital Chocolate announced that Moto Racing Fever is now available on the Apple App Store. Redesigned specifically for the iPhone and iPod touch, Moto Racing Fever sends players speeding down the interstate, searching for booster packs and vying for the No. 1 spot. The game sells for $2.99; a free version also is available for a limited number of levels.
• China's Huawei has joined the SDR Forum. Through its membership, Huawei will be able to collaborate with the other 108 member organizations of forum.
• Boingo Wireless is adding close to 4,000 Wi-Fi locations in Sweden with the addition of the TeliaSonera Homerun network.
• Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has been appointed by Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited as the sole vendor and service partner for its 3G network modernization and expansion project. NSN will deploy HSPA+ technology to leapfrog existing high-speed data access technology and deliver speeds of up to 42 Mbps. A five-year framework agreement was reached between both parties, which includes a minimum equipment purchase of close to HK$ 350 million (about EURO 31 million).
