Alltel Offers Unlimited SMS, MMS with My Circle

Alltel Wireless announced new pricing on its Unlimited "My Circle" plans. In a press release, the carrier said it will include unlimited text, video and picture messaging for all customers currently enrolled in My Circle plans $79.99 and higher.

The feature appears to put the carrier in direct competition with both Sprint and AT&T. Sprint currently offers what many believe to be the most competitive unlimited offerings, with "Simply Everything" plans that include unlimited messaging. AT&T offers unlimited messaging for an additional $20 monthly fee.

Alltel currently allows customers to sign one-year contracts, as opposed to the industry standard two-year contracts. The carrier says that while it offers the one-year contract, its handset prices remain competitive.

  • Nice, but not THAT great. Still too expensive at 80 bucks. There are quite a few offers out there for much less. I use Straight Talk unlimited myself and pay only 45 bucks for unlimited talk and text.
