London-based mobile marketing agency Velti has acquired Ad Infuse to boost its position in the United States. Terms of the deal were not revealed.

Velti says it will immediately integrate Ad Infuse’s management team, technology and customer base into its global operations. The integrated company will consist of more than 400 people across operations in the United States, Europe, China, India and Middle East.

Velti says it is already the world’s largest mobile advertising and marketing company with operations in 35 countries, boasting some of the world’s leading brands as its customers, including Microsoft, Disney, Unilever, Orange, Singtel, MasterCard and CBS.

Brian Cowley, Ad Infuse’s CEO, will assume the position of general manager of Velti North America.

Ad Infuse investors included Softbank Capital, ComVentures and Storm Ventures.

Revenues for Velti in the first quarter of 2009 are expected to be more than 50 percent higher than the first quarter of last year.
