Unlocking the iPhone was an obsession early on and remains a controversial practice, but now a company is offering version 2.2.1 of its unlocking software for the iPhone 3G. The software sells for $29.95.

iPhone Unlocking Solutions says its new one-click software makes it possible for more people to unlock their iPhones and use them outside the AT&T coverage area.

iPhone Unlocking Solutions says other solutions typically cost between $80 and $100. The company also says its solution comes with a 100 percent money-back satisfaction guarantee.
