The Recording Academy and T-Mobile Sidekick announced the full lineup for the second Grammy Celebration Concert Tour Presented By T-Mobile Sidekick, including Natasha Bedingfield, Kelly Clarkson, Common, Estelle, Lady GaGa, Leona Lewis, LL Cool J, N.E.R.D., Katy Perry and Gavin Rossdale. The resident DJ for the entire tour will be recording artist and "American Idol" runner-up Blake Lewis.
• In the two weeks since its public beta launch at CTIA, downloads of Celio Corp’s Redfly Mobile Viewer solution have exceeded 3,600, company officials say. The Redfly Mobile Viewer is a software product that allows smartphone users to view their favorite Windows Mobile applications at full size on their Windows XP and Vista PCs.
• Epocrates, a developer of clinical decision support software, says it was among the first to deliver the Raptiva withdrawal news to physicians across the nation. Within hours of the withdrawal, Epocrates updated its drug databases and instantly released the content to 225,000 U.S. physicians who actively use its mobile and online products. Raptiva, a medication for treatment of psoriasis by Genentech, was withdrawn due to safety concerns of a potential risk to patients of developing a rare brain infection called progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML).
• Motorola announced two new enterprise-grade iDEN handsets – the r765 and the r765IS – custom-designed for the utility, petrochemical and industrial markets. The solutions for private iDEN networks are designed to provide mobile workers in noisy and hazardous environments with better call clarity and access to data applications.
• Stickam.com says Stickam Mobile viewing is now available on more than 100 Java-enabled devices, including models from BlackBerry, LG Electronics, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. Stickam Mobile broadcasting also is compatible with the Nokia N95, N80 and S60 series phones. Stickam.com members can broadcast live on-the-go with Stickam Mobile and view live streams of their Stickam.com friends and Stickam.com's featured broadcasters.
• LeapFrog Enterprises announced its Number Rumble math game is available on the Apple App Store for $2.99. The first of several planned LeapFrog iPhone learning games, Number Rumble for iPhone and iPod touch users lets 6- to 10-year-old kids shake, tap and spin their way to better math skills via the multi-touch user interface.
