mBlox Launches Number Checker in U.K.

Posted In: Devices

mBlox announced the U.K. launch of mBlox Number Checker, a short code identification tool for consumers who want to find the name and contact details of content providers using the mBlox network.

An mBlox representative said the company expects the Number Checker to come to the U.S. market sometime this year, but no definitive timeframe was given.

mBlox notes that complaints form an “extremely small” percentage of the overall volume of premium rate traffic, but the company believes it’s important to address those concerns rapidly and effectively. The Number Checker service enables consumers to contact the content providers with whom they have a query.

The Number Checker service only works with information providers that use mBlox’s short codes and network.

The tech industry may have had its attention focused on gadgets this week due to the annual hullaballoo at the 2012 International CES show in Las Vegas, but at least a few people were thinking about the patented inventions that make those electronics work.
