Motorola Evoke QA4Motorola today officially introduced a new handset – one that looks similar to some other touchscreen devices out there on the market. The Motorola Evoke QA4 is a “socially-inclined” device with a full touchscreen and targets the social networking crowd.

The Evoke supports different messaging styles with a full touchscreen qwerty keyboard and slide-out traditional keypad.

News of the CDMA device leaked out earlier, but there was no word on which carrier would sell it. Today, Cricket Communications says it will start offering the phone in May. Pricing will be announced when it launches, a company spokesman said.

The device includes an accelerometer to switch between portrait and landscape, and customers can decide which widgets appear on their home screen and which are hidden.
