Macrospecs has taken the wraps off of its new news service, which brings together social content and the mobile Web. NewsNomad.com displays the most popular news stories of the day, as determined by its users.

NewsNomad was designed to provide mobile users with as much convenience as possible. It fits virtually every screen size. It doesn't require registration to use. The interface provides quick loading times and also allows for good screen readability on mobile devices.

News stories are selected from Websites suited for mobile browsing. NewsNomad takes stories from the mobile versions of major publications including Reuters, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post and Time Magazine. The articles are added to the "New Stories" section of NewsNomad daily. Once they receive enough votes from users, they are promoted to the front page. Future plans include support for user-submitted articles.
