U.S. Cellular announced it has selected mobile search and advertising solutions provider JumpTap. Under the terms of the agreement, U.S. Cellular customers will have 1-click access to the Web, while JumpTap, drawing on U.S. Cellular’s customer data and usage information, will ensure only the most relevant search results are delivered. JumpTap also will provide more effective ad targeting data for advertisers.

“Using JumpTap’s made-for-mobile solutions, our customers will find what they’re looking for quickly and easily,” said Alan Ferber, vice president of sales operations and CMO for U.S. Cellular, in a statement. “This partnership helps us build the best mobile Web experience in the industry.”

Beyond search services, U.S. Cellular customers will be able to access news, sports, flight updates, white pages, chat services, maps and directions through JumpTap’s vertical categories. Additionally, local and national content publishers and advertisers will be able bid on search queries to further hone their target market for each specific ad campaigns.
