No contract carrier Cricket Wireless has announced another unlimited offer, but this one is not for voice and its far less than the national carriers’ $99-a-month plans. Cricket is offering an unlimited EV-DO Rev. 0 data plan for only $40 a month. Customers who purchase a Kyocera KPC650 data card for $59 after the carrier’s rebate, can surf all the Web they want for only $40 per month and users don’t have to sign a contract. Cricket also is offering a first month free deal or $5 off a month coupons at its retail locations.
Of course, Rev. 0 is the slower EV-DO network speed and Cricket only offers service in limited locales, but for customers in one of Cricket’s markets, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
