HTC, the OEM behind T-Mobile’s Android-based G1, posted a slight year-over-year decline in profit for its second quarter but improved from the first quarter of this year. The company did not provide a reason for the slump.
HTC made $197.4 million in the second quarter ended June 30, a decline of 1.9 percent compared to last year’s figure of $201.35 million. However, the company’s second quarter profit rose 33 percent from last quarter, when it made $148.2 million.
Sales rose 10 percent to 1.16 billion compared to the same period last year.
