In more news from AT&T, the carrier has announced a new PC-based browser service called My MEdia Net that enables customers to create and update content for their mobile Web experience more easily.

My MEdia Net is an advanced Website that allows customers to design their online wireless experience, from the convenience of a PC browser. Through My MEdia Net, users can add whatever content they choose to their wireless browser's home page, by simply dragging and dropping desired content onto the My MEdia Net home page from the following categories: news, weather, sports and entertainment. Updates made to a customer's My MEdia Net site are automatically saved to the phone, and newly added selections appear on the mobile home page instantly.

"AT&T's wireless customers now have two ways - two screens - to personalize their mobile Web experience," said Mark Collins, vice president of consumer data for AT&T's wireless unit, in a statement. "This easy personalization process will help increase the use of wireless data services as consumers become increasingly more dependent on wireless technology for information while they're on the go."

This free service is available now for AT&T Wireless customers.

The Absuridty of 4G Is Upon Us

Why aren’t more people complaining about the absurdity of AT&T passing off its 3 to 5 Mbps HSPA+ network as "4G," when LTE can and does hit 12, even 16 Mbps regularly?
