• Cellfire announced that Caribou Coffee Company will accept Cellfire mobile coupons in all its 443 retail locations in the United States. Consumers can get $1 off any large drink or a free drink with purchase of a pound of coffee by using the Cellfire service.
• Genband, developer of next-generation IP infrastructure, plans to expand agreements with three integrator partners to support and distribute its IP gateway product lines. Verscom Solutions, VoIP Logic and General Telecom, all previous strategic business partners of NextPoint Networks, have agreed to begin selling and servicing existing Genband products following its acquisition of NextPoint Networks.
• Tellabs has enhanced its 6300 product line with the arrival of its new 6335 switch node. The Tellabs 6335 node is a compact multiservice provisioning platform supports 16 wavelengths complemented by a suite of muxponders, transponders and wavelength sensitive filters fulfilling the needs of metro-edge applications, supports 2G and 3G mobile transport services for efficient mobile backhaul and offers higher flexibility and availability required in highly competitive markets. The node will be available in Q1 2009.

• TravellingWave and Zi Corporation have signed a non-exclusive integration license to combine TravellingWave’s VoicePredict speech-to-text software with Zi’s eZiText and eZiType text-prediction products.
• Monotype Imaging and Vodafone U.K. have introduced FlipFont, a new way to personalize the user interface on select Nokia mobile handsets. The solution, which is accessible from Vodafone live!, provides downloadable, mobile-optimized fonts to replace the factory-installed, default font.
